ABSOLUTELY COLD WATER
Give your cashmere sweater a cold shower! 20°C is the maximum that should never be exceeded because water that is too hot could damage your sweater.

NEVER EVER SOFTENER
Contrary to what one might think, a softener is not good for your cashmere sweater and the opposite effect could occur: it could make it felt and alter its softness.

BY MACHINE RATHER THAN BY HAND
That's pretty good news, isn't it? The regular movements of the washing machine respect the fibers and the structure of the weave more than washing by hand. But only on the condition of respecting the washing instructions.

THE GOLDEN RULES OF MACHINE WASHING
Rule n°1: put your sweater in a washing net.
Rule n°2: choose a wool program and above all set the spin to 400 to 600 revolutions per minute maximum.
Rule n°3: pour a small dose of special wool detergent.

IN CASE OF HAND WASHING
However, if you want to wash it by hand, dilute a little bit of special wool product in water at less than 20°C and immerse your sweater in it. Mix it gently. To wring it out, do not twist it, this could damage it. Wrap it in a bath towel and dab it.

COMPLETELY FLAT DRYING
After spinning, get your cashmere back in shape, then dry it flat . This prevents the fibers from stretching. The ideal is to put it away from direct sunlight and away from a source of heat.

NEVER ENOUGH WASHES
Cashmere loves water. He needs it for his fibers to flourish. Washing it often will allow you to keep it for a long time. So do not hesitate to wash it every 2 or 3 ports.

A VERY VERY GENTLE IRONING
If ironing is necessary, remember to always iron your sweater inside out and with a low iron . And above all, always use a clean cloth or towel, possibly slightly damp, to place between the iron and the sweater. Steam iron can be used without restrictions.

PRESSING AS A LAST RESORT
Dry cleaning is not recommended for your cashmere sweater which needs water. If your sweater has persistent stains, and only in this case, you can entrust it to a professional.

DISAPPEARING PILLS
Don't worry, new cashmere always pills. This is normal and will disappear over time.

THE ESSENTIAL ANTI-MOTHS
Properly storing your cashmere sweater is as important as washing it properly. To do this, don't forget to put cedar wood moth repellent in your closet, because like you, moths love cashmere!

CASHMERE IN THE FRIDGE
No, you didn't read it wrong! The cold freezes the fibres, prevents hair loss and reduces static electricity. For this, from time to time, put it in a bag and place it for 2 hours in the freezer or overnight in the fridge.
